The Hub for Arts & Culture

KATS has become a founding member of The Hub for Arts & Culture in Kennett Square. A bid has been accepted for the purchase of two buildings in the Kennett Borough owned property at 600 S Broad Street. The plan is to renovate the largest building into a performance space with a 250-seat theater, a 100-seat theater, rehearsal and storage space, and concessions space. The smaller building will be used for administration and storage.

The plan includes the entities: KCTV LLC, a for profit entity responsible for the purchase and renovation; and a non-profit The Hub for Arts & Culture that will be responsible for operating the facilities. There are investment opportunities in the form of equity in KCTV LLC. Funding for the Hub will come in the form of donations, redeemable memberships, and Charitable Remainder Trusts. In the future (5-7 years) it is intended that the Hub will purchase the assets of KCTV, LLC.
